We’re looking for an intern who’s passionate about storytelling and digital journalism, who’s excited to learn and participate in every aspect of the editorial process, from reading submissions to promoting the finished product. Interns will also have the opportunity to pitch and write a story for us, as well as participating in editorial meetings and big-picture conversations.
We’re looking for someone who’s highly active on social media, with an understanding of what makes a great tweet or Facebook post, the difference between the two, and fresh ideas for how an against-the-grain media outlet like Narratively should be using social media. Candidates should also be passionate about storytelling and journalism, and understand how to pull the most titillating part of a story out and turn it into a clickable, compelling social post.
*All internships are unpaid, but can be for college credit. They are part-time, mostly remote with a flexible schedule. The only in-office workday is Wednesday, in our Brooklyn office (though this can be a partial day depending on your schedule).
To apply, send your resume and a few paragraphs about you and why you’re interested in Narratively to email@example.com
