We’re looking for an intern who’s passionate about storytelling and digital journalism, who’s excited to learn and participate in every aspect of the editorial process. Candidates should be motivated, detail oriented, and good at multitasking without a supervisor’s reminder about each task.
Responsibilities include: Reading slush submissions, participating in editorial meetings, fact checking, laying stories out in CMS, strategizing for how best to promote each story, scheduling social posts. Interns are also encouraged to pitch and write their own stories.
Internships are unpaid, but can be for college credit. They are part-time, mostly remote with a flexible schedule. The only in-office workday is Wednesday, in our Brooklyn office (though this can be a partial day depending on your schedule).
To apply, send your resume and a few paragraphs about you and why you’re interested in Narratively to firstname.lastname@example.org
