John Burl Smith

John Burl Smith is a writer, black power advocate and community organizer, hailing from Memphis, based in Atlanta. He holds a BA in psychology and has written a self-published novel: “Archangel: A Hip-Hop Vision of Love.” He is currently finalizing his memoir: “Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s Last Strategy Meeting: The Invaders Story.” He is also involved in “400th,” an international event that aims to commemorate four hundred years of slavery in 2019.
