Whittington is the author of a book about the intersection of space and politics entitled “Why is it So Hard to Go Back to the Moon” as well as numerous works of fiction, including, “The Moon, Mars and Beyond.” “The Last Moonwalker and Other Stories,” “The Man from Mars: The Asteroid Mining Caper,” and the “Children of Apollo” trilogy. He has written about space for the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, The Hill, the Washington Post, and USA Today among other publications.
