In a tucked-away corner of Northern Philadelphia is a neon-green-tinged hair salon called Void of Colour, owned by charismatic hair designer Sina Washington, who follows in her grandma and aunt’s footsteps. Ram Devineni

Ram Devineni is a filmmaker and founder of Rattapallax films and magazine. Recently, he produced The Russian Woodpecker, which won the Grand Jury Prize at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival and nominated for Independent Spirit Award. He is the co-creator of the augmented reality comic book, Priya’s Shakti and Priya’s Mirror which received the Tribeca Film Institute New Media Fund from the Ford Foundation and the funded by the World Bank. His short film Pigeon Kings of Brooklyn premiered on Narratively.
